Such a thrill to be surprised tonight by the incomparable talent that is Brynn Cartelli. You may know her as the winner of last season’s The Voice on NBC, but in the summer, she’s pretty happy to be on vacation and keeping a low profile. That said, she crushed her guest spot at my show with Billy Voss, Rich, and I last week, and Billy invited her back this week and she performed a WHOLE SET OF TUNES… including a few originals.
One of those was a song she dedicated to Nantucket and she is calling “02554.” We played it last week, and slayed it this week… what a tune! What a voice. Seriously.
Billy and Brynn have been friends since she was just getting started and he invited her up on stage to play a few songs. In fact, it was a friend’s video of one such performance that made its way in to the hands of producers at The Voice, and the rest is history.
What a way to end the summer season at the Sandbar… thank you Nantucket! Good time, Billy! Right on, Rich. Thank you, Brynn. Awesome.
